Mug Shot of Tony… and sth. ’bout the last week

… and a portrait of her and her sister Kari – our housemates…

… and something about last week..

I survived

these long and hard days and nights. Well the one who saved me was my friend – the photographer – who cancelled two jobs he asked me to be with to assist him.  So my time schedule was not that tight.  At least the “Easy Moving” Session was wonderful. We played more than four hours and I met a lot of old friends I didn’t see for years at that event. It was a fine place to reactivate good old contacts without talking about things like “Once upon a time in the stone age” 😉

It was worth that to practise and make rehearsals for that event  – f. eks. I played my upright bass on “Riders On The Storm”. I know that this sounds good (different!) but the audience was surprised about that sound – they loved it – for lots of them it was a new experience – and I was asked to play in another band what means MORE  GIGS!!!  And I love to play live on stage ’cause that’s the place where music really happens  not on i-tunes 😉

So clear that we’ll make it again – next year

Here you can see the place where it happened (at the center of the image that follows)

Some more shots will follow when and if I receive the photos a guy made on the event (and I feel they’ll be great)…

  2. Hello..Excellente’..really great pics..sounds as if disciplining your time is paying off for you..always does for me..it seems like the inability to physically live out my thoughts causes impatience..thus frustration or stress..I suspect it may be that way for most..Upright bass is a whole ‘thing’ is it not?..I am in the process of getting my invites out for my group..CU in the sunny funnies..Peace Tony

    • Oh yes – the upright – the scale is a whole thing (what’s good for the authentic sound) – and it takes some time too 😉

Well I for one still try to continue to live with that compromise you expressed so good – always looking on the bright size of life *whistling*

      CU there (you bet!)

  3. More wonderful pics, RW! That one of the building reflecting in the water is just spectacular!

    • I’m still working on that one. Now I’m waiting for the time when there is high tide so that the river doesn’t flow for a while (to avoid the stripes), then clear sky and no wind! Then I’ll spend some more time so that I can shoot it with F/16 – I need more DOF (I suppose the longest shutter time + store for the HDR will be about 2 or 3 minutes) and I need three shots. Hope I’ll have a chance to catch the right moment for my next attempt.

      I love this scenery 🙂

    • It’s one of my favorite view of my hometown in fact. It makes me wonder that I never saw such an image of my town made by another one.

Maybe I’ll have a chance to make some similar shots in Bergen – next year in August – or September…

    • I’d like to add a portrait of our “Big One” Schlumo but when I’m ready to shoot him he’s very fast to turn his back on me. Maybe I’ll have a chance – anytime…

    • Oh yeah. She’s looking straight into the camera – sassy as she is. I often want my peole to look like that – for biometric passport photos 😉
