4th Day Of Spring

The first sunny day that makes me really feel that spring is in the air.

I tried to capture the beautiful light you can live to see here at the Coast of the North Sea…

(by the way I made no changes in colors andย  saturation – what you see is true reality)

… a World Heritage – natural site. Only a few places are like this unique area.

wild geese over the salt marsh

flying…

and chilling out…..

And if you turn around you’ll see the legendary “Westerhever Lighthouse”

We were lucky that we both could spend a little time far away from our projects we are working in for a few days.

So we decided to make a day trip to several places at the North Sea coast. Husum the hometown of the

famous poet Theodor Storm (I’m sure he would be honored with the Nobel Prize for Literature if he was born a few years later)

was another destination we visited that day. I suppose there’s no place where you can see so many crocuses at one place like here

Happy Weekend to you all – and….

lots of sunny days too!

  1. mmm, lovely! I love crocus, how wonderful to see so many of them in bloom. The shot of the flying geese is also especially lovely ๐Ÿ™‚

    • … if you have a chance to visit the “Wacken”-Festival – please tell me if and when you are there (this years it’s sold out – and I’m in Norway at that time). It’s only one hour to drive by car up there ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • I would love to attend the Wacken some day – won’t be this year, though!

  5. I love the lighthouse shot. I used to think I’d like to live in a lighthouse but then I think the isolation would get to me. Lovely to see some blooms – nothing is flowering in my garden yet – it’s still cold and nasty here.

    • I turned around and made the above shown photo (… and chilling out). What amazes me at that place was that there was no difference between th colors of the sky and the reflections in the water. I have to make some more trips up there to show the amazing lights when it’s another kind of weather…
