lots of speccled noise on my photos at Facebook. Wanna test if it’s better here.
Nikon D 5000 vs. Nikon D7100
both tested with Sigma 70-200 mm 1/2,8 + Sigma 2.0 converter. There is a little difference in fact….
… makes sense *smile*
(same gear I used @ image “honeymoon moon – scroll down, but I changed the settings)
Something I read a few minutes before…
“It’s National Relaxation Day! Today we live in a very fast-paced world that is often stressful and overwhelming. National Relaxation Day is all about taking a step back to unwind and decompress.
Although a certain amount of stress is normal, too much of it can be harmful to your physical and mental health. Take care of yourself today. Read a book, get a message, watch a movie, go for a long walk, or take a nap. No matter what you choose to do, just remember to take it easy, even if it’s only for a few minutes. Happy National Relaxation Day!”
… so what shall I think about it… I have to relish that one and only day and be prepared to survive the stressing time during the rest of the year what means in days: 3 6 4 (in words THREEHUNDREDSIXTYFOUR)…
a little interlude for night owls
… with some shots from the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein… at 10 mm wide-angle (except the seagull shot)…
… a UNESCO World Heritage: the Wadden Sea of Schleswig-Holstein
In the background the “Island Of The Rich And Beauties” – SYLT
What a wonderful morning. I relished the silence.
The loudest thing I heard was the shutter of my camera.
I made these images at our honeymoon on thursday 13-07-18 between 5:17 and 5:33 a.m.
in Brixum, a village at the island of Föhr/Schleswig Holstein/Germany.
…. cancel the project you planned for this day and make another one
This project is called: I don’t care for bad weather
it was one of the great moments in my childhood to share the first landing on the moon summer ’69. We spent our holidays at the north sea in a cottage my mother rented. We had to feed the TV with DM coins and when the moment came that the eagle should land on the moon’s surface suddenly the screen was black!!!!
“Where are all the coins” was the question – and a lot of panic in the whole family to find them. I suppose it was only a few seconds till we found them, but I felt it was like an eternity….
That’s why I was in the mood to compose this little image.
I shot one image in december 2011 and the other one a few days before…
Last summer I was in Scandinavia for three weeks. The day Anders Breivik killed 70 young socialist at the island utoya and bombed the gov.-quarter inOslo we didn’t hear about it ’cause we were in the mountains. There I shot a panorama of Sognefjellet (a part of Jotunheimen which are the highest mountains in Norway). The high contrast the lights made were difficult to capture (particularly if you want to shoot a HDR when the clouds are moving so fast and the tripod is not the best….
When I came home I tried the first stitch (1) and made some corrections – hmmm the result wasn’t that good – look at the clouds (crop 1). A few weeks ago I started a second try (2 and crop 2). The first thing was that I corrected the aperture in RAW then I stitched the images (5 pieces) and afterwards some editing in CS 4…
What did I learn: I need some more time to shoot to utilize the performance of my camera so I can save a lot of time in post production – and I need a better tripod (done!)…
Next start for a project is tomorrow. We’ll have a little vacation at the North Sea. I want some magic light 😉
btw. I’ll print the stitch in 170 x 70 cm when I’m back!
btw I never lived to see such a bad weather in Norway in my whole life (and I’ve been a lot of times up there)…
live @ Harburger Binnenhafenfest
the perfect end of a much too short weekend…
yeah, today we tried to cook with a tajine (from Morocco)….
*yayyyy* with s u c c e s s s !
The result could make me a veggie – what a wonderful taste!!!
But the arguments again a veggie-life were too strong. Sorry veggies 😉
the opener – some salmon with potatoes and a baked tomato
the main dish “cup of rump”
and last not least – the dessert
… ’cause I’m sure that I never could edit this bad image that way you see below.
I loved that snapshot, but if it was a JPEG it would find the direct way – into the trash bin!
Here you see the copy of the original image that was shot in RAW and the edit below.
Sometimes I really want to know what’s going up in her little soul….
Wish you all had a wonderful Whit Weekend!
Today it would be his 78th birthday.
His legendary synthesizers are still in my ears. A few years ago I heard it on stage played by Jordan Rudess @ a Dream Theater Gig in Hamburg. That really made me remember the great times with Yes (Rick Wakeman) and ELP (Keith Emerson) in the early and mid-seventies….
Not to forget the Fender Rhodes or Wurlitzer Pianos and the Hammond B3…
All analogue instruments – like the music itself
… too hot. So Tony found the coolest place in the house – the dorm.
…. to show the truth 😉
