…. cancel the project you planned for this day and make another one
This project is called: I don’t care for bad weather
it was one of the great moments in my childhood to share the first landing on the moon summer ’69. We spent our holidays at the north sea in a cottage my mother rented. We had to feed the TV with DM coins and when the moment came that the eagle should land on the moon’s surface suddenly the screen was black!!!!
“Where are all the coins” was the question – and a lot of panic in the whole family to find them. I suppose it was only a few seconds till we found them, but I felt it was like an eternity….
That’s why I was in the mood to compose this little image.
the perfect end of a much too short weekend…
yeah, today we tried to cook with a tajine (from Morocco)….
*yayyyy* with s u c c e s s s !
The result could make me a veggie – what a wonderful taste!!!
But the arguments again a veggie-life were too strong. Sorry veggies 😉
the opener – some salmon with potatoes and a baked tomato
the main dish “cup of rump”
and last not least – the dessert
Our two little “furry ladies” played “War Of The Buttons” this morning. Here you can see the result…..
Yesterday I was @ a gig of “Ohrenfeindt” from Hamburg. I relished true rock ‘n roll the whole night. Here you see three of 300 shots that I made there.
…. full of new experiences.I’m in need of much time to contemplate, collect images, check my diary and – last not least – really arrive at home 😉
more about my wonderful time I had, later 😉
… and some charming french
“abschalten” means “shutdown”
Remember Harrisburg, Sellafield and Chernobyl and think about Fukushima
then think about your children, their children, their children over 100.000s of years who will have the problems with the nuclear waste…
The first sunny day that makes me really feel that spring is in the air.
I tried to capture the beautiful light you can live to see here at the Coast of the North Sea…
(by the way I made no changes in colors and saturation – what you see is true reality)
… a World Heritage – natural site. Only a few places are like this unique area.
We were lucky that we both could spend a little time far away from our projects we are working in for a few days.
So we decided to make a day trip to several places at the North Sea coast. Husum the hometown of the
famous poet Theodor Storm (I’m sure he would be honored with the Nobel Prize for Literature if he was born a few years later)
was another destination we visited that day. I suppose there’s no place where you can see so many crocuses at one place like here
Happy Weekend to you all – and….
lots of sunny days too!
… One of the young talented bands I’m mentoring
Today we – that means the “Tour Project 2011” (a.k.a. “The Formerly Unknowns”) – presented one band at a public rehearsal at the “House Of Music”, an event what is taking place in my hometown every year in the early spring. Several music schools, particularly their teachers are making presentations about their work. Youn musicians contact each other to jam, have fun and find themselves to musical projects or bands and so on . OK back to the band. They showed what’s up when a band is making a sound check and then making their show on stage what means the co-operation between the musicians and the light and sound technician. The musicians made a great job but – and that was sad – the sound technician who is in the project had no time to be there. So we had some support ba another technician who told them what they have to do so that he can produce a good FOH-mix (for the audience). I for one came when the sound check has been done – and could “relish” a very bad sound. I was really positively surprised that the band made a very good job. After the presentation they told me they couldn’t hear each other. The result was that I felt they made their job without hearing the guitars and the bass. The only thing they heard on stage was the vocals and the drums. Remember they had to screw down their amplifiers (both guitars and the bass). The FOH sound was the same: the audience couldn’t hear any guitars and only some little booms of the bass. The drum kit was too loud and the singers could be heard a little bit. After I made some shots I grabbed a pen and some paper to make some notes so that no one of our band will have the same experience again.
I think I have to make a lot of preparations for the next stage rehearsal that will start in 3 weeks: tell the bands what they hve to do growing in their confidence so that they tell the technicians that is is their job that they (the bands) feel good on stage to make a good show. If the sound on stage isn’t ok the music will suffer… Some e-mails will go around now and next week there’s some other work in the rehearsal rooms – without instruments…
This Christmas stollen is for those who hate raisins 😉
… something you maybe can’t answer. I for one am waisting my time for things like (the questions will say that)….
– why do I spend too much time for posting one photo to the Photo-Quest group today (without any success)?
– why do I need more time for editing my posts than for the words (see above)?
– why does something not work as it usually has to?
– why do so many people tell about sth. they want to do – and do not do that?
– why does a friend critisize my “absense” after never reacting on my comments and replies?
– why do I have the feeling that I’m wasting my time for things that are less important than the contents of a blog?
– why does the proofreader tool mark the word “Photomerge”?
by the way the photo has nothing to do with the content of this entry. I only placed it here to post it to another blog by using the URL – after I tried the URL ofjthis picture from my library. In both tryings I had no success and it made me feel that I’m waisting my time again to try to make a post.
– (this question will follow tomorrow)
this is one of three images I used for the HDR. It’s the one that is correctly exposed.
Then I added two shots one under and one overexposed and made a HDR of them. Here’s the result
The photos I made with the bracketing function of my D 5000 that is only limited on three layers. It’s a nice function to keep the result sharp and crispy. Now I’d like to find a body that allows 5 -or better – 7 layers for HDR-photos that is due to my budget. Any suggestions from you? 😉
Some weeks ago we tried several 7 layers_HDR’s but only one was successful because we had to adjust the camera (a D 70) each time for each photo. But this one was really good (what made me learn that the more layers the better the result).
… time is by your side. I’m in urgent need to recreate now! Next week the days will be very long for me. Usually I can spend my time to recover in the evening hours – not so next week:
Monday (and I’m only talking about the evenings now!): preparing for some photosessions I’ll have together with my friend and some models (some special shootings we’ll make in a studio)…
Tuesday: Meeting with my guys for our new project “The Formerly Unknown” we’re starting now and it will be finished December ’11 (my job is the musical leadership and coaching the bands)!
Wednesday: last rehearsal for the “Easy Moving” Jubilee Concert
Thursday: Last rehearsal for my band “Blackout” for the Saturday Showcase at New Music School
Friday: Preparing for Saturday
Saturday: Showcase at NMS in the afternoon (3 hrs.) and Easy Moving Jubilée Concert in the evening
Sunday: I’ll be dead 😉
I’ll try to stay tuned – See ya! … and have a nice Halloween Weekend!!!
one more shoot I made yesterday (a little “encore”)
… one attempt of a HDR at the very early morning in my hometown at the railway station
and another one of the famous Bacardi works that supplies Europe and the eastern world with rum and whisky…
Last Wednesday I started to create a concept for our common homepage (one of my tasks). I drove to Stade to present my ideas I had to my friend but he was sidetracked by so many “important” things so that I wasted my time waiting for him… Wasting time – not my thing! I discovered some nice accessories to create some still life arrangements
The rest of the story: No results except of a “Sorry that I had no time for you, but I had a lot of things to do” from my friend. So why did I spend my time to drive to Stade? For nothing? Ooooooh no!
– I have some new ideas to make some still life photography and the first two of them I wanna share with no one else but you!
– I’ll do more for myself (and believe me I’m selfish – NOT!).
– I’ll create my own homepage
Et Voilà! – here are my attempts
#1 “Big Brother Is Watching You”
# 2 “Views Of Application Photos”
a sunny and colorful weekend to all of you!
